Spreading the Gospel Message of Jesus Christ one person at a time

Registration for After School Religious Ed going on now!

This year we are meeting one on one with all families of children enrolling or re-enrolling in our After School Religious Education classes. Classes are on Mondays at 5:00 p.m. and are one hour long. After class all children and their parents are encouraged to attend the Holy Mass in St. Cunegunda Church at 6:00 pm where they will continue to learn about Jesus and the precious gift they have been given of being a Catholic.

Classes are for Kindergarten through 8th grade

First Communion and Confirmation are two year programs.

If you have not yet received a call from the parish office to set up an appointment please give us a call or send us an email. All children need to be registered before classes start in September. Also, classes are open to children of families registered in the parish.

Parents wishing to volunteer their time to help out with the program should speak with the Director of Religious Education, Mr, Michael Peck. You can leave a message for Mike with the parish office. In order to volunteer you will need to meet the requirements of the Archdiocese of Detroit Protecting God's Children Initiative. This includes a background check and attendance at a PGC workshop.

Welcome to St. Barbara and St. Cunegunda parishes. We are clustered parishes, meaning we are two separate parishes with one Pastor, Fr. Zbigniew Grankowski, leading us. We are one family united in our belief in Jesus Christ and His Bride, the Roman Catholic Church.  We offer a variety of Mass times on the weekend so that no one has to miss Mass on Sunday. We start with 3:30 pm Mass at St. Cunegunda and 5:15 pm Mass at St. Barbara on Saturday. Sundays we start with 10:00 am. Mass at St. Barbara, then it's our children's bilingual liturgy at 11:30 at St. Cunegunda  and we close with 6 pm Mass at St. Barbara on Sunday night.  We also offer the Sacrament of Reconciliation - No Fear Confessions -  beginning at 6 pm Sunday at St. Barbara until all Confessions are heard.  We invite you to join us. All are welcome here.
